HEALTH & FITNESS SCREENING


By conducting health and wellness screening current fitness levels and lifestyle habits can be highlighted and changed for the better.

Screening identifies any health risks that could be complicated by exercise.
A medical PAR-Q (Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire) will be completed to assess these risks.

Short and long term goals that are realistic and achievable can also be targeted and discussed with your qualified fitness trainer.

Strengths and weaknesses within your current fitness training schedule will also be looked at and discussed confidentially.

Questionnaires that are completed in the assessment include, stress and anxiety, medical and lifestyle (smoking, alchohol and dietary habits) screening and goal setting.



Body Fat% measurements are an indicator of body composition as well as physical fitness.

Fat surrounding muscle tissue does provide some protection, warmth and support however too much can create enormous health risks.

When fat is metabolised through exercise it is broken down to provide energy. However currently western society over indulges on fats and simple carbohydrates, so much so that there is an increasing risk of heart disease and obesity within the population.

Through monitoring BF% on a regular basis with bioelectrical impedance or skin-fold callipers a training programme can be monitored and a healthy level of BF% can be maintained.

All health screening information is collected and treated with the utmost confidentiality and will be kept under lock and key.
